A session is counted whenever a user comes to your site and visits it "in one trait", no matter how many pages he sees.

Google Analytics defines an SEO session as a session that comes from natural organic traffic.

How long does a session last?

A session ends after 30 minutes of inactivity.

For instance, if a user explores 4 pages of your site by viewing pages and triggering events, each of these additional requests shifts the expiration time by 30 minutes. In this case, there is only one session open.

In other cases, if the user leaves for his lunch break during the visit of the second page, the session will end after 30 minutes and a new session will start when he opens the 3rd page.
