SmartKeyword allows you to analyze keywords by category/semantic groups and determine the best keywords to work on to improve your SEO in Google. We'll see in this document how to do it.
Understanding the keyword analysis screen
In the "my keywords" tab, you can see :
graphs about your positions and your visibility in relation to your keywords entered on your account
the pages positioned for your keywords
the keywords search volume
your current position on Google for this keyword
the opportunity score of this keyword in terms of positioning and profitability
By filtering by keyword groups, SmartKeyword summarizes the monthly search volume, your visibility (overall, top 3 and top 30), the average opportunity score as well as the number of opportunities i.e. the number of keywords with positioning potential.
In the table below, the complete list of keywords of the chosen tag is displayed and allows you to identify the best keywords.
By checking one or more keywords, you can group them in a new/other tag, untag them (they will be assigned to the "none" category) or delete them from your account.
You can also download the list in CSV or XLS (it will be sent to you by email instantly) to work offline.
Some keywords may not have a page positioned, and in this case, it is possible to assign the page closest to the theme of the keyword or, failing that, the home page of the site so that you can start working on this keyword in view of creating a future page. This article tells you all about how to associate a page with a keyword.
You can sort your keywords by search volume, position, position goal, and opportunity score. This work allows you to determine the best keywords.
The idea is to find these best keywords by associating a high enough volume, potential position on the 1st page (positions 1 to 10) and an opportunity score higher than 60%.
The bidding information will be useful for commercial keywords that incite to purchase. The higher the bid, the higher the purchase intention.
It is also possible to filter the results by search volume (minimum).
Once you have identified the best keywords to work on, you can add them to your actions by clicking on "add task".
You will just have to fill in the pop-up that will open:
You will find all your actions in the "Tasks" tab which looks like a Trello-like table and where the actions can be moved from column to column as they are processed
Armed with your best keywords to work with, let's go over how to do this in the next article.
