What is a Domain Authority?

Notion used by the actor SEOMoz, as an alternative to "Google Page Rank". This is about the website’s importance to search engines.

The Domain Authority ranks on a scale from 1 to 100.

DA < 10: very low authority. If many websites on the 1st page are from this domain authority, it should be easy to go up the SERP!

DA > 10 & DA < 20: low authority, but “OK”. This matches websites that already have minimal reputation, and probably decent content. But their netlinking remains weak.

DA > 20 & DA < 40: authority OK. These websites have a very decent reputation, and significant netlinking. It will not be easy to tackle and dislodge them from the SERP.

DA > 40 & DA < 60: strong domain authority. This corresponds to a website such as Sarenza.com, which is already very famous.

DA > 60: very strong domain authority, such as PriceMinister.com for example.

DA > 80: extremely strong domain authority. It will be very difficult to tackle and dislodge them. Example: Wikipedia, BBC.com, USAtoday.com, etc.

What does Trust Flow mean?

It’s an SEO indicator to measure a website’s trust. That is, the URLs’ trust index, therefore it will assess the backlinks’ quality. To establish this index, the Majestic SEO tool relies on a very important list of websites analyzed manually, and meeting search engines’ trust criteria. Then, it analyzes all outgoing links from the listed websites that point to the website, and thus measures the website's ability to transmit trust to other websites.

If some of the backlinks are from a spammy website, then they will get a low TF. Conversely, if the backlinks are from websites with a good TF, they will get a good TF as well.

What does Citation flow mean?

It’s an SEO indicator to measure a website’s popularity. In other words, it will assess the backlinks’ quantity. The more inbound links a website has, the higher its CF will be. Therefore, a website that has an excellent CF, and links to your website will automatically increase the CF. Conversely, a website with a very bad CF that links to your website, its index will go down.

What is a TF / CF ratio?

It’s a ratio which allows us to know if the website is good because it receives a lot of good quality links, or if, on the contrary, even if it receives a lot of links, these are not quality links which decreases their reputation towards Google.

What does the referring domain mean?

This is a website linking to another website.

The more powerful the referring domain is, the more it will tend to positively influence the website’s ranking in Google search results. To measure the power of a domain, we speak of Domain Authority. The more referring domains there are, the better it is.

What do we mean by estimated SEO traffic?

It’s a monthly estimated traffic collected from Semrush, which measures the number of visits to a website, resulting from organic search traffic through search engines.

This traffic is calculated by measuring the click-through rate according to a page’s position on the SERP.
