It is possible to configure the keywords that are attributed to brand traffic, including your brand name and the variants/spellings that your customers search for you with.

This allows you to distinguish between SEO traffic related to your brand awareness (people searching for you directly on Google) and traffic coming from other keywords more related to your SEO efforts.

To set them up:

  1. You need to go to "Study configuration” > “dimensions”>”mark” and click "edit" as in the screenshot below:

  1. On the next screen, do not change anything and click on "next step" to validate the predefined values:

  1. On the next screen you will have to enter all the occurrences of your brand (variants/spelling errors). We advise you to put rules like in the following screenshot:

By putting "keyword" and "contains" you will not have to enter all the other queries and whole variants like for example: "smart seo".

On the other hand you will want to put all the occurrences with spelling mistakes such as "smart key word" with spaces for example.

Then, don't forget to submit the configuration otherwise the modifications will not be taken into account!
