You’re starting to master SEO and you’ve made progress on your keywords.

The biggest part of the work is happening now. You will have to arrange your keywords by search intentions in order to have at the end the ideal tree structure of your website according to these keywords.

Then, you will have a beautiful file already well grouped to import to your SmartKeyword account.

But before that, go through the semantic cocoons chapter up to "5. The method: step 2 a/: Group the keywords". This chapter will explain everything in detail and guide you on the methods to follow. 😉

At this stage, here is what your Excel document should look like, if we use the same list of keywords as the previous example:

Sub-sub groups are not mandatory, it depends on your website, the content you are going to create for this keyword, your technical constraints, etc.

Once you’ve put your keywords into categories, you can use the mindmap to validate your keyword ranking, and then move on to the end of the chapter.

For the creation of your visual mindmap, many tools are available on the market but we recommend Coggle. The mindmap will allow you to visualize the perfect tree structure of your website.

To do so, continue the chapter of semantic cocoons from "building the silos (mindmap)".

Always keep in mind that a page = a keyword, this will help you in the construction of the mindmap.

At the end, you will have a mindmap corresponding to your list of keywords which will reflect the ideal tree structure of your site.

Here is a mindmap example:

This will reflect your tree structure, your internal network and especially your breadcrumb trail!
